"MEET THE PRESS" MR. PRESIDENT...

It seems the words have shifted but the tone is still the same.

I paraphrase...
'There may not be any weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq, but we were right to blow that country to 'kingdom come' god damn it - just because we say so!'

The Bush Admininstration has the obvious belief that if they say something long enough, to enough people in the press that people in this country are stupid enough to believe it is true.

Face it. We were 'bush-whacked' into getting into an unjust war. On Sunday's 'Meet the Press', Bush leveled the reason that: "Sadaam was dangerous." Hmmm, isn't there a question of degree here? Ironically, immediately after the broadcast, the New York Times Discovery Channel aired a show about the nuclear threat that North Korea poses and the fact that a 'mad man' is not only in charge of the weapons, but is worshiped by the majority of his people! Excuse me, but it has been PROVEN and stated publicly that North Korea not only Possesses WMD but they have announced their intention to sell its components on the open market to terrorists! So, tell me, who is more dangerous - blowhard Sadaam Hussein or North Korea's leader? To my knowledge, Hussein didn't have any nukes much less any aimed at us. North Korea does!

For more of the inane excuses given by our President for his reckless behaviour see Bush Offers Shifting Rationale for Iraq War

I was rather interested in this article: Gore Says Bush Betrayed the U.S. by Using 9/11 as a Reason for War in Iraq.

The book, 'The Price of Loyalty' really sheds light on this, as we all know by now that Bush was looking for ANY excuse to get into Iraq and do some damage to the guy who made a monkey out of his father's administration. The thing that seals the deal for me is the fact that this information came from classified documents within Bush II's administration. (Don't whine to me about how Paul O'Neill endangered National Security - how much more dangerous is it to 'leak information about a deep undercover intelligence agent'? Remember - the same administration intentionally did that without the slightest regard for National Security!

I suspect the opinion polls will continue to slide for this president. He is known as being untrustworthy and it is just going to get worse as time goes by. I urge you to, at the very least, go to the Primary/Caucus for your state and vote! The only real danger to our National Security is the continuation of this Police State Adminstration! Bush and his cronies threaten the very life and liberty they are supposedly defending. Let's get him out of Our White House and put someone in who is firm but fair with other countries, someone who really cares about the working class in this country and finally, someone who has more on his mind than an agenda of personal wealth and greed!
